We Serve All
The Forestry Conservation Communications Association (FCCA) is an FCC-certified frequency coordinator for all public safety spectrum, including the 700/800/900 MHz bands. We deliver comprehensive radio frequency coordination services to state, regional, and local government agencies nationwide.
In public safety
communications, airwaves are a shared resource governed by federal mandate—no
agency owns its frequency exclusively. Without precise engineering and
proactive oversight, a system miles away can inadvertently drown out critical
voice transmissions during an emergency.
True communications
reliability requires expert, cooperative coordination. We manage the technical
complexities of shared spectrum so your team can focus on saving lives.
We provide
end-to-end frequency management across the 30–50 MHz, 150–160 MHz, 450–470
MHz, 470-512 MHz, and 700/800/900 MHz bands.
Interference Mitigation &
Terrain Analysis
Advanced engineering and terrain modeling predict and eliminate potential
signal overlap with neighboring agencies.
Strategic Channel Selection
Data-driven channel recommendations ensure you operate on the cleanest
available frequencies.
FCC Part 90 Licensing &
Compliance
Streamlined federal application processing paired with strict adherence
to FCC shared-use regulations.
Cooperative System Modifications
Seamless updates to antenna locations, power levels, or bandwidth
parameters without disrupting existing regional networks.
Because you share the airwaves, frequency planning cannot be left to guesswork. Partner with the coordinator that knows how to build reliable, interference-free, and fully compliant networks in a shared world.
Full memberships are available to employees of state agencies represented at the national level by the National Association of State Foresters (NASF) or the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA). Each full member agency employee has voting rights at the business meetings of the Association when present.
Associate memberships shall be persons from agencies not represented by NASF or AFWA who qualify for the Forestry Conservation Radio Service frequencies within the Federal Communications Commission regulations and who have paid current annual dues.
Supporting memberships are individuals from organizations not necessarily involved in Forestry Conservation activities, but who support the aims and purposes of the Association.
The organization functions under the direction of an Executive Committee as provided for in its constitution and by-laws.
